CANCUN

Of course in Cancun the beaches are the biggest attraction.  White sand and the magnificent clear blue waters are what make this one of the most beautiful spots in the world.  The sand is light in weight and cool on your feet, even in the scorching hot sun.  The reason is it is composed of microscopic plankton fossils that are called disco-aster (a small star shaped sea creature) instead of silica.  All beaches here are opened to the public.  Marine life here in Cancun is rich and stunning, an excellent motivation to set out on a scuba diving adventure.  Snorkeling is another way to explore the gorgeous scenery beneath the ocean and is best near the southern tip of the hotel zone.
