Mountain view retreat in Fern Valley on the creek with amazing views This unique home is located in Fern Valley atop the majestic mountain town of Idyllwild, California. The Big Rock Creek Lodge is nestled in the pines above the rushing waters of Strawberry Creek and backs up to the prestigious gated community of Alpen Woods. This home is 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. The exquisite master bedroom has scenic views through mitered windows with an unobstructed, close-up view, of Suicide Rock. Suicide Rock can also be viewed from the expansive deck. On the large deck there is also a BBQ and a spa, with Strawberry Creek right next to the home. Hang outside and listen to the babbling creek while you enjoy the beautiful scenery. The cozy family room has an exclusive rock fireplace and a 42 inch TV with enough room to entertain friends and family.

Peaceful getaway in Idyllwild
"We had a great stay at this property in idyllwild. It was clean and cozy and the sounds of the creek were very relaxing. The only issue we had was that the WiFi connection wasn’t working and we had no way of calling property management to let them know. It wasn’t a big issue for us but my 2 kids weren’t happy about it. If you don’t mind unplugging for a few days, this house is a great choice. "

Beautiful and Relaxing
"We had a wonderful experience. The location was amazingly beautiful surrounded by variety of trees and with the mountain very visible. It was peaceful and quiet. We loved the art and crystals and feeling within the home and it had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves and prepare some of our meals. The staff were responsive and attentive with caring spirit."
Wonderful home and amazing views
"We spent 3 nights at Big Rock Creek Lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. The amenities are fantastic, the deck has a wonderful view with the calming sounds from Strawberry Creek, and everyone had a great time. My kids (7 and 5) really enjoyed the bunk beds and playing the different games. Would highly recommend, but there are several things to mention.<br/><br/>1. This is a nice home, meaning the wooden floors, countertops, and decor need care and attention. Not recommended for those with untidy children, as it will stain or damage the property, which means $$ from you.<br/><br/>2. The creek is not hikeable. There is private property all around. <br/><br/>3. The check in/out is a slight inconvenience, but an inconvenience regardless. You have to pick up and drop off the keys at the main office. Out of 20+ short term rentals I've stayed in, never have I had to drive to an office, find a lockbox out of 30 on a wall, and get the keys.<br/><br/>4. The really long emails and archaic contract PDFs just add to the inconvenience. I understand the need to convey important information, but please format it properly rather than sending 1000 words (yes, I counted). Also, contracts should be via an e-sign provider, not PDFs to fill out, scan and email back. And at the very least include check in/out and pricing details in the PDF before sending it out rather than having the customer fill it out.<br/><br/>5. The property managers are very responsive and easy to communicate with. It was nice knowing that I could send a text and get a response back within minutes typically."

"Wonderful location for family getaway. Away from the crowds, but only 5 minute drive to town. Spectacular view from primary bedroom! Floor to ceiling windows!!"
