Had a great time very nice owners, views were great! it was right next to the side of the mountian so you could see for miles. Very spacious living area and nice big kitchen.
Rooms were just fine for sleeping and beds were comfy.
Lots of stairs to go up but it's worth it.
Tub tub views were really quite nice also and Great for sunsets
In the sun there's cool lizards all over the back rock area that like to check you out also. Large squirrels and many birds in the area as well.
hiking trials are super close and numerous. many within 5-10min drive.
The town is so cool def spots to check out is the many eatery's, the brewpub, the vintage Store on the second level main town and the winery's
We spent 3 nights in this wonderful property with our family and my brother's family (9 people plus a dog). We had a truelly lovely time. It is a great space in a wonderful location, very well equipped and with stunning views. Our only disappointment was that the cold tub was not working, and as we were there when it was very hot, we were looking forward to using it... it would also be good to have some sort of air conditioning option upstairs, as the heat gets trapped and is hard to cool down. Thanks very much for our wonderful stay.
This is a well-cared for home in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. The master bedroom was spacious with a comfortable mattress (might have been a Tempur-Pedic) and high-quality bedding. The kitchen was well appointed. The view from the deck was spectacular with comfy seating for a group. There was so much attention to detail from this home from the stone paths from the carport to the front door to the thick bath towels next to the back door to obviously be used for the hot tub. This home seemed like a home.
We were all thrilled with this house and would absolutely stay here again. The house is even better in person and is spotless! Really unique property and that view is incredible. Everyone we spoke to, especially Michaela, was incredibly helpful. Best rental experience to date. Thank you all for ensuring that we had a stress free weekend. I can't wait to visit again!
Our 15-year-old daughter was looking for a special place to have a birthday sleepover with friends. They LOVED this house, and so did we. Wonderful views, lots of privacy, very clean and thoughtfully laid out. Everyone had a wonderful stay.
This is our second time staying here. We love it! The jacuzzi is so nice, already warm when we arrived. The house is clean and had everything we needed. Lidia was a great help!

This is a beautiful cozy home with spectacular views from the master bedroom, kitchen, and spacious back deck. Great location within easy walking distance to hiking trails (Devil's Slide/Tahquitz Peak and Ernie Maxwell) & only a short drive to town. As always the New Spirit staff is friendly & helpful. Highly recommend.
We could have just sat on the patio the entire time. Washing dishes was a pleasure because you could just stare out the window. The entire wall was windows so, wether you were outside or inside you see all the mountains and trees.
My husband and I really enjoyed our 3 night stay in this quiet comfy cabin with views of cedar trees out all the windows. The bed and couch were comfortable and we slept great every night. The kitchen was fully equipped with lots of small appliances as well which we appreciate as we cooked a few times. The stove, toilet and refrigerator seemed quite new. The cabin was clean when we arrived and the heat was on so it felt welcoming right away. The cabin reminded me of a place I used to stay in as a kid with my family. The property management company kept us well informed and we had an easy check in and out. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
My family had a wonderful time in Idyllwild. The cabin was cute and rustic. It suited our needs perfectly.
This was a great place for a getaway. Close to town, lots of space for 2-4 people and a lot of outdoor space. We will be back!
Fully stocked kitchen. The hot tub was perfect. We also loved the fireplace . 2 private bedrooms and 3rd room is up in the loft with 2 twin and 1 full beds. Would definitely stay here again.
Didn’t have to leave the cabin. Everything and anything was available we are all in our 70s and 80s and we had a wonderful time
The whole process was fairly simple and straightforward upon check in. Everything was as the pictures showed. Great view of the golf course as the 3rd green is in your backyard. My family came and watched me the play the 3rd and tee off on the par 3, 4th. Amenities are great down to the really nice air mattresses. Would stay and recommend again.
We were in town to visit family in nearby Indian Wells.Condo was very clean and well laid out and furnished. As it was end of April things were quiet in the transition from winter to summer heat. Pool was just across the very lightly traveled road and well maintained as was the whole property and the rental itself. We'd be happy to stay here again.
First off the house is very clean and comfortable. The location is walking distance to town center, however, with warm temps we were content to drive around the area. The favorite part of the house were the good size bedrooms separated by living area giving two couples privacy. With four cooks in the upgraded spacious kitchen we enjoyed sharing the cooking space. Also, we did use the grill and it worked nicely! Happy Hour on the patio with many different types of birds and the squirrels was entertaining.
We had a very nice weekend at the cabin. The only thing I would recommend is putting Blinds or Curtains in the upstairs bathroom and bedroom. We've stayed at this cabin before and it's very clean and is located in a very nice neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again
The house was beautiful! Very well stocked kitchen, and all the amenities we needed. The views from the deck were just spectacular, and the house was very clean. The property management was really great. Super fast to answer any questions we had.
This is a great location. Plenty of walking from the doorstep , close to town, private , good views. Big Living Room windows to enjoy the trees and view. Enjoyed coffee on the deck. Beds comfortable . Kitchen well stocked . New Spirit good to work with .
"one of the best VRBO's you have ever arrainged for us".... this is from my employee and his family that I rented the cabin for. they thoroughly enjoyed their time there and could not find anything to complain about.... they stated that everything was as pictured...the kitchen was fully stocked and everything worked. it was also close to the town square without the crowds.
My wife and have stayed with New Spirit several times and this last time didn't disappoint. Lilac has plenty of room inside for two, a charming and comfortable living and dining area, all with wooded and scenic views. The fireplace is a must!
I’ve been renting g from new spirit vacation rentals since 2021 and I love all their homes very clean accommodating the rentals this rental is very close to town we walked to town it’s just down the street about a 10 min walk very quiet and the home had air conditioning a plus it was very hot 4 th of July weekend very large home it says 4 bedroom but can easily be a 5 bedroom plenty of room and beds me and my family enjoyed our stay I’m never disappointed with new spirit rentals highly recommend
My family and I had such a great stay at Dairy Manor. You can feel the love and inspiration of this home in every single room, there is so much charm and character everywhere you look. The home’s age gave it so much of its beautiful character, yet you still have all the modern essentials needed for your stay. I never thought my sons (ages 5 & 8) would enjoy a home as much as they did at the Dairy Manor. Our stay here in Idyllwild was exactly what we needed as a family, shutting out the world of 2021, connecting with each other, and with Mother Nature. I honestly couldn’t be happier then I was with The Dairy Manor!
Easy booking. We loved staying is this cute and cozy cottage. Comfy bed and just the right size for a romantic getaway. Roomy fenced backyard with a relaxing spa. Perfect for 2. Within walking distance to town, but not too close to be bothered by traffic noise.
This dairy barn cottage is so cute. It's surrounded on three sides with fencing. I'd recommend if you have a dog, and it doesn't trustworthy in terms of staying within the yard...there are some places he/she might slip out(husky!!)
I think one needs to check if they've put more secure fencing on the one side.
I really,really liked the cottage! There is no oven, just a two-burner stovetop. This was not a problem. Perfect for two people!
We enjoyed our stay in this house, very good for a families with kids.
Our time at Golden Sunshine was magical. I t is a peaceful place perched on top of the mountainside. We sat on the wonderful wrap around deck and watched the sunset. We were there for a brief time but felt as if we got a lovely respite which renew and reentered us. Thank you for all that the New spirit star did to make our stay so great.

I gathered some friends together (10) for a birthday stay with me as a cabin retreat from the city. It was exactly what we expected it to be and a wonderful home base for us all.
My brother and I had a wonderful brother's getaway weekend at this super charming and cozy hidden heaven hideaway. Loved the authentic retro vibes, the babbling creek just outside, woodland visitors on the back deck (had woodpeckers, blue jays, robins and grey squirrels all on the back porch trees at one time). Lots of snow prevented us from driving to town, so we walked. It wasn't far and was quite nice to do so. Everything was comfortable and clean, and the rental company was helpful, friendly and accommodating -- and the rental price was very reasonable, especially in comparison to the big rental sites and other more popular nearby mountain towns. It was our first time to Idyllwild, despite living in LA for most of our lives, and we loved it. Not an 'active' town like Big Bear or Arrowhead. More sleepy, hippie and artistic, which is/was our speed generally anyway. If this cabin allowed dogs, we'd be back with the whole family on a regular basis. But since it doesn't, and we understand that - this is a pristine 1930's cabin - we'll just have to keep it as our brothers-only getaway.
The place was amazing although I wished the lighting in the kitchen was better and nicer movie watching equipment. Overall I will be back and DO recommend anyone to stay in this awesome cabin
Very clean property. Beautiful, large back deck with nice views. The only downside is no central air conditioning, but there were box fans available.. Close to downtown Idyllwild.
Everything was perfect: From the comfortable and well-equipped house, to the spectacular view, to the awesome hot tub. The people from New Spirit Vacation Homes were cordial, available and very accommodating on check-in and check-out times.
We had a wonderful time at The Pinnacle for four nights in late June, and enjoyed some local hikes in the area and general relaxation. There were only five of us with two small dogs, so there was plenty of space to spread out. We’d come back again in a heartbeat!
Our party consisted of three brothers in our 70’s and 80’s. Two brothers are from out of state. The inside of the home was spotless. The rooms were expansive. We has some problems with. The TV (looking for local, live programming) but soon understood what you see is what you get. The bid selling point is the view. It is spectacular. All in all, it was great!
Great experience , very relaxing. Home was amazing very comfortable and clean. Very quiet location. We had local places to go eat and to the store . Overall amazing experience. Loved the home.
Enjoyed this cabin very much. It was spacious and easily fit 7 people. The Jacuzzi was a plus! Very quiet neighborhood.
Our time in the Bears Den Cabin was exceptional. Plenty of room and the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and flatware. We did have a you bird stuck in the fireplace when we arrived but we got him out safely.
Everything was as presented. The deck was amazing. We spent a lot of time outside, but were perfectly content to stay at the house rather than sightseeing. We were out each night shooting photos of the Milky Way perfectly framed between the trees off the deck. The house was not for people with significant disabilities, but we were very content there. Thanks for a great stay!

This is a really nice place for adults and kids alike. 2 game rooms and a jacuzzi! The view of Lilly Rock (Tahquitz) is breathtaking!
This was the 2nd time we rented this house and we really love the deck, the view is amazing. Kitchen is well stocked. A little hard to find but the first time we rented this house we called the property manager and they came right over and showed us where the house was. My oldest son is in a wheelchair and this house was very easy for him to get around. We will be back. ♥️
We absolutely loved staying at the Lily rock Lodge!
The house is extremely spacious with an open concept downstairs. We enjoyed all the games that were available to us, including a pool table and a Magnetic dartboard, as well as organ to play. We had 4 children and it kept them occupied��
The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything you could think of in the kitchen and the bathrooms! They even had towel warming rack in the downstairs bathroom.
The Jacuzzi was very enjoyable and extremely clean. It stayed on the entire time which was nice. We did not have to worry about turning it on or off the temperature was perfect.
The cabin itself was beautiful, beautiful location, and gorgeous views! the driveway was extremely easy to get in and out of.
The Cons:
The upstairs floor creeks very loudly throughout the entire upstairs, if you are in the downstairs bedroom, it is extremely loud. there was a large leak in the downstairs bathroom from the upstairs shower and when we called the property management, they came out and dealt with it immediately.
The only other complaint that I would have is they charge $50 per hour for early check-in and late check out.
I do recommend this cabin to others. We had a lovely time..
We spent 4 days in Idyllwild with our dog, the cabin was perfect for a short stay. The check-in was easy and on time, and check-out was a breeze. The cabin had everything we needed, a nice fenced in outdoor space, a well supplied kitchen, and super comfy beds. The location is also nice, it's a short walk into town and a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely look at other spots in the New Spirit portfolio for future getaways.
Perfect location, beautiful views, fun yard for the pups. It was super simple to rent, had everything we could of asked for. Perfect.
This home is just wonderful. Great location, great amenities, comfortable, and well-stocked. Our first choice every time we go to Idyllwild.
