New Spirit Vacation Homes staff was amazing! They were always available via phone/text with any questions we had. We were lucky enough to get an early check in and late check out since no one was staying before/after our reservation. Best vacation rental company we have dealt with so far! Amazing cabin, views are outstanding, everything about THE VIEW exceeded expectations!
We loved staying at the View, it's our second time. We hope to make this a yearly tradition. Working with Monica & Nikki at New Spirit is fantastic.
Our stay here was excellent. The check in was an extremely quick process that lasted no longer than 1 minute. The proximity of the office to the lodge was about 5 minutes and we were provided with directions as well.
The cabin was perfectly kept up and came well stocked with pillows, blankets and kitchen supplies. The block itself is very quiet throughout the day. Excellent views of the woods through the large windows and a large wrap around deck with a hot tub was amazing(though we didnt use it).
Looking forward to booking this location again on our next visit.
The home was very cozy and relaxing with the sound of the creek behind. All of the accommodations in the house were perfect!
This cabin was very comfortable, it had everything we needed. The views are beautiful, and it's close to town without being to close. We will be using this rental again in the future.

I was in town for a wedding and everyone at this company made my stay easy and enjoyable. The location was gorgeous and just what I was looking for. I've already referred friends to this company and will use them again.
Christmas holiday in Idylwild. Cottage was perfect. Very clean and well appointed. There was even a full size/decorated Christmas tree in the living room. Nestled among the pine trees with a large deck. Great location - easy walk to the center of town. Property manager was very helpful and responsive.
Place was very clean and perfect location. I've been around the place several times over the years since my mom lives across the street. We rented because we had extra family and it worked out great. I wish it was better weather, but that's how it goes. Idyllwild is a great little community. If the need arises get rent again, we certainly will.
The cabin was adorable with lovely inspirational sayings decorating every room and cute wooden bears and squirrels all around. The neighborhood was beautiful for walking the dogs in and the cabin's proximity to town was a real plus. The heat worked well in the master bedroom suite, but never seemed to warm up the family room, which is where we spent much of our time. I was disappointed to find there were no spices in the kitchen nor was there any cooking oil, which hindered our cooking ability. Luckily I brought everything else we needed from home. The property management was mixed. One woman working there was clueless and completely inflexible. I had called from home and was told unequivocally that there was a DVD player in the unit. There was not! Also, because we hadn't cleared out at the stroke of 10 am and despite our having phoned several times to inquire about check-out time, this same young woman insisted we would be penalized with a late check-out fee. The cabin was truly a gem; the property management staff was not.
The cabin was quiet, relaxing, and had everything that we needed for a short getaway. I loved that this property was back away from the street. My kids and dogs loved exploring around the property and my dogs loved the fenced yard. We were able to relax in the spa and had everything that we could possibly need provided by the cabin- including beach towels! Every single person that I spoke with between the booking, check-in, and check-out process was friendly, helpful, and very welcoming.
My family had a pleasant stay during our short gateway to Idyllwild. Kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub was working great, plenty of towels and overall a very a nice place. Convenient to Idyllwild hiking trails and easy to check in and out. Yard sitting area looks to be in a need of a maintenance. We didn’t use it so it did not affect our stay. Plus there is a dinning table on the patio.
The whole process was fairly simple and straightforward upon check in. Everything was as the pictures showed. Great view of the golf course as the 3rd green is in your backyard. My family came and watched me the play the 3rd and tee off on the par 3, 4th. Amenities are great down to the really nice air mattresses. Would stay and recommend again.
We were in town to visit family in nearby Indian Wells.Condo was very clean and well laid out and furnished. As it was end of April things were quiet in the transition from winter to summer heat. Pool was just across the very lightly traveled road and well maintained as was the whole property and the rental itself. We'd be happy to stay here again.
We rented the house with a few other couples. It was perfect for us! Everyone had their own space and the common area was great for meals and games. We were also so close to town and appreciated being able to walk. We would definitely rent the house again!
The house was beautiful! Very well stocked kitchen, and all the amenities we needed. The views from the deck were just spectacular, and the house was very clean. The property management was really great. Super fast to answer any questions we had.
We arrived at dusk and quickly built a fire. From the skylights above we could hear the rain and hunkered down with a couple good books from the owner’s library. We ate a pizza we bought from Fratello’s down in the village, and drifted off to sleep in the comfy bedroom upstairs. As we discovered, the downstairs has accommodations for 6 in two more bedrooms and full bath (the upstairs has a full bath as well). The skylit kitchen has every appliance and utensil imaginable, including brand new fridge and soundless dishwasher. The enormous wrap-around deck, partially under a large overhang, provided a great dog run when it was raining. The cabin is sited at the end of a private driveway, and angled for privacy. Hard to leave it a few days later, but we will be back!
A private and comfortable getaway nestled in the quiet community of Idyllwild. We brought our dog and had a great 4 days relaxing by the fire in the living room together, and cooking up homemade meals. Very close to town- we walked there in 15 minutes. It was 85 degrees outside during our stay but inside the house remained very cool (even without AC). The only comment I have for improvements is the stove- one of the burners did not work. And when we checked in, we were told the BBQ may not be working. With the maintenance fees we paid for the booking, we hoped we were paying for maintained appliances. If you plan on grilling or cooking up a feast, you might want to call and check about the appliances ahead of time. Overall a good stay, I would recommend this place.
I took my father on 3-night get-away in Idyllwild. We needed a one level home and a hot tub. This home was ideal. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very cozy. The only complaint I have is the shower in the second bedroom. I could not adjust the water temperature and could not use it.
We had a great stay! The house is well kept and clean and spacious. There was a foot of snow on the ground when we arrived and it made for a perfect vacation.
The Dairy Farm was so lovey and well appointed. The uniqueness and charm added so much to our stay.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Dairy Cottage, the spa was great for after hiking all day.
The place was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our time, easy walk to town and all the restaurants and activities we wanted to do. Very relaxing and private. Never got internet, which according to the property manager is common in Idyllwild. So, I wouldn't come here if you needed to get work done. But for a relaxing, no tech trip, it was wonderful!
We enjoyed our stay in this house, very good for a families with kids.
Our time at Golden Sunshine was magical. I t is a peaceful place perched on top of the mountainside. We sat on the wonderful wrap around deck and watched the sunset. We were there for a brief time but felt as if we got a lovely respite which renew and reentered us. Thank you for all that the New spirit star did to make our stay so great.

Dealing with New Spirit was very pleasant. Everything was exactly as expected and the Home was fabulous. 3 great bedrooms and a really exceptional property that was fully stocked with everything that we needed. I highly rate the rental property as well as New Spirit and would certainly use their services and stay at "on the rocks" in the future.
Everything was perfect: From the comfortable and well-equipped house, to the spectacular view, to the awesome hot tub. The people from New Spirit Vacation Homes were cordial, available and very accommodating on check-in and check-out times.
This house has a great view and was very comfortable for our family. It had everything we needed. It stayed warm with all the snow.
This house was wonderful. It fit 16 people perfectly, and had most everything we could have needed! I highly recommend this place for anyone hosting a retreat or that has a big family. The stove wasn't working, and the hot tub was also not heating up all the way which was a bummer. I would definitely check right when you get there to make sure the hot tub works.

Enjoyed this cabin very much. It was spacious and easily fit 7 people. The Jacuzzi was a plus! Very quiet neighborhood.
Stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. The moment you walk in you are blown away by the view. It gets even better when you walk up to the master bedroom. Definitely coming back. The house is a little old, but everything works great.
We had an amazing time staying at Grande Vista in Idyllwild! The views were absolutely stunning and should sell you on the place on its own, but the house was incredibly cozy and heightened the experience even more. One of our nights, the winds knocked out the Idyllwild power supply (which can happen in the mountains), but New Spirit Vacation Homes was so helpful in bringing us flashlights and supplies! Honestly, that night with no power, looking at the amazing stars is one of my favorite memories from the trip! Thanks so much for making our stay so relaxing, safe, and wonderful!
Loved our 2nd weekly stay once again. The home is very nicely appointed. The large fenced back yard was loved by our 2 puppies. Adrain from the office was awesome and took care of us with a discount coupon to several places. Thanks Adrian
We rent in Idyllwild often and this is one of the nicer places we've stayed. They pay attention to small details and aren't afraid to make higher quality items available for their guests. And the property itself is very inviting and great use of space. We will definitely be back!
We rented this property for a weekend family trip and everyone absolutely loved it! The patio had enough seating for the whole family and the view was amazing. There were plenty of games available for the kids to keep them entertained and it was spacious enough that everyone wasn’t crammed together in the house. The property management were extremely nice and responded quickly when we had a concern. We will definitely be renting from them again in the future!
Beautiful vintage cabin. Spacious living room with a large stone fireplace. Loved the floor to ceiling window in the living room. Great views from kitchen and main bedroom. Patio in the back has lots of space and sits right above the creek. If you open the kitchen door you can hear the water flowing by. There is a little trail you can walk along with a cute wooden bridge to cross. You will see people walking by down below but wasnt intrusive. You can walk along the trail and end up at the back of the BrewPub. Felt private but is very close to town. Not too close to the neighbors. You can see a bit of the public playground across the way but again, it wasnt intrusive. Lots of kitchen wares (no toaster at the location) towels, blankets, games. Heating works great. Parking is easy and right in front of house. Easy access, 6 stairs up to front door. Was very clean and well stocked. The 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are on opposite sides of the house. Would 100% stay here again!
We sent a group of teachers to work on their curriculum. They had a great time. The Dome allows for recreation (it's so beautiful up there!) and focus (the TVs allow for connected devices so they could display their curricular plans and work together). Best of all, the team who welcomed them was responsive, flexible, and friendly.
Weekend to discover Idyllwild...great cabin to fix meals; enjoy a fire; have our own bedroom/bath; and large room for game playing, TV/movie watching; reading nooks; and enjoy family.
Beautiful home and lovely deck area. House in very good condition inside and out. Spa, pool table and game room all were used and enjoyed. The road coming in to the house needs some repairs, but overall a wonderful place for 10 people. We never felt cramped or crowded.
Our group of 6 had a great experience. The beds were comfortable and the rental company was responsive and helpful.
