This rental went above and beyond our expectations. We had an incredible time, and we will remember this trip forever. The outdoor spaces were amazing, the fireplaces were inviting, and the sunsets in the hot tub were spectacular. The rental was very clean and very well stocked with everything you need to cook. We could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you for a great family trip. We will definitely be booking with this company again.
Had a great time very nice owners, views were great! it was right next to the side of the mountian so you could see for miles. Very spacious living area and nice big kitchen.
Rooms were just fine for sleeping and beds were comfy.
Lots of stairs to go up but it's worth it.
Tub tub views were really quite nice also and Great for sunsets
In the sun there's cool lizards all over the back rock area that like to check you out also. Large squirrels and many birds in the area as well.
hiking trials are super close and numerous. many within 5-10min drive.
The town is so cool def spots to check out is the many eatery's, the brewpub, the vintage Store on the second level main town and the winery's
We had a wonderful experience. The house was breath taking and also the views. Monica was very attentive to all of our needs.
The view from The View House really is as magical as the pictures show. There is more deck furniture now. It is lovely. The kitchen is much nicer than the pictures show as well. It's a lovely home. Monica and Niki from New Spirit were so friendly and helpful, it added to the entire experience. The house was very clean and welcoming. It was also super close to town yet when you were in it it felt very secluded.
WHEN YOU STAY AT ALILY ROCK LODGE, YOU REALLY DON'T NEED TO GO OFF THE PROPERTY. THIS PLACE HAS ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! WE COOKED GOURMET MEALS (THEY HAVE ALL THE EQUIPMENT), WE PLAYED POOL (POOL CUES NEED A LITTLE LOVE), WE RELAXED IN THE SPA (THEY HAVE PLENTY OF TOWELS & A WASHER/DRYER), PLAYED BOARD GAMES (NO SCRABBLE-BRING YOUR OWN), SAT OUT ON THE WRAP AROUND PATIO AND ADMIRED THE BIRDS (OUTDOOR CUSHIONS ARE BY THE POOL TABLE), AND WE DIDN'T WATCH THE TV ONCE. IT WAS THE MOST RELAXING 4 DAY VACATION EVER. THANKS SO MUCH. WE'LL BE BACK!
This is our favorite cabin in Idyllwild. Spectacular architecture, views, and artwork. New Spirit Vacation Homes staff are always easy to work with, kind and fast.
Absolutely awesome stay. Wonderful deck with outstanding views. Inside, comfortable with everything well thought and working smoothly. Great heater, awesome chimney, comfy beds, flawless internet, great views from inside too, cool Jacuzzi, BBQ, games, etc. A very nice experience.
We stayed for 3 nights at Sunset Perch and the setting could not have been more breathtaking. Most of our time was spent on the front deck overlooking the valley and mountains. We played Trivial Pursuit for hours as hawks and blue jays soared overhead and a family of quail meandered through the yard below. It was an unseasonably hot weekend, but the breeze from the valley kept us cool. The open living space was well appointed and had everything we need to cook 3 meals a day. We came with lots of groceries, but the market in town is just a short drive away if we needed additional supplies. Beds were comfy and there were plenty of areas to sprawl out in the living room. The view from the hot tub was also worth noting as it sits on the side of the hill overlooking majestic rock formations as well.
We had 3 lovely days in Idyllwild to hike, explore, shop and snuggle. No snow, but chilly and the comfortable beds and awesome heater made nights cozy and comfortable. The location of the property makes for an easy, short drive, or walk to town. Yet distanced enough to be private and off the beaten path, and quiet. The design of the home provides lots of privacy too, with bedrooms on either end. We loved the extra dining space and used the big table to start a puzzle. The cabin felt like a home with all the amenities, thoughtful touches, and mountain decor. We will return and I would highly recommend the property and management staff to friends. New Spirit staff were helpful and kind. We enjoyed great pizza at Idyllwild pizza, enjoyed the brewery food and drink, Red Kettle did not disappoint, and have a small addition to the chocolate at El Buen Cacao.
Nana and Papa's place couldn't be more perfect! The layout of the home allows everyone space and with plenty of areas to sit outside it was tranquil.The location of the property was perfect as it is close to town and yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet of the night.
Fully stocked kitchen. The hot tub was perfect. We also loved the fireplace . 2 private bedrooms and 3rd room is up in the loft with 2 twin and 1 full beds. Would definitely stay here again.
Sky Rock Lodge was a delightful and cozy cabin retreat. Ample space for the four of us, lovely fireplace, windows to enjoy the outside snow, space for games, great kitchen, private master bedrooms and an unbeatable loft bedroom. Although we had extra beds and could have taken one of the masters, three of us chose to share the cozy loft! Management went above and beyond servicing us... kudos to each of them, thank you!
The whole process was fairly simple and straightforward upon check in. Everything was as the pictures showed. Great view of the golf course as the 3rd green is in your backyard. My family came and watched me the play the 3rd and tee off on the par 3, 4th. Amenities are great down to the really nice air mattresses. Would stay and recommend again.
We were in town to visit family in nearby Indian Wells.Condo was very clean and well laid out and furnished. As it was end of April things were quiet in the transition from winter to summer heat. Pool was just across the very lightly traveled road and well maintained as was the whole property and the rental itself. We'd be happy to stay here again.
The experience was great from the time I received my keys until I returned them. The home was perfect for my big family.
This was our second Christmas spent at The Treehouse. We love this house, it is so comfortable, well-stocked, clean and the location is perfect for easy walks into town. Dishwasher broken this year, which is the only downside to the condition of the property.
The perfect retreat for a family and friends. Our daughter loved exploring the property and we all really enjoyed the layout of the space. Plenty of privacy with the separate upstairs and downstairs. An amazing library of books and games to enjoy and an absolutely beautiful deck with the most epic views of the mountains and rock formations surrounding Idyllwild. The hosts are so accommodating and friendly as well. Definitely will come back.
The view is awesome. Close enough to walk to downtown. The house is really nice - I wish I owned it. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and a nice big living room and patio... We could not have had a better time. And a big thanks to New Spirit - I consider myself lucky to be a return customer.
The home was even better than advertised. Charming home with great perks. I would recommend this place to anyone.
We arrived at dusk and quickly built a fire. From the skylights above we could hear the rain and hunkered down with a couple good books from the owner’s library. We ate a pizza we bought from Fratello’s down in the village, and drifted off to sleep in the comfy bedroom upstairs. As we discovered, the downstairs has accommodations for 6 in two more bedrooms and full bath (the upstairs has a full bath as well). The skylit kitchen has every appliance and utensil imaginable, including brand new fridge and soundless dishwasher. The enormous wrap-around deck, partially under a large overhang, provided a great dog run when it was raining. The cabin is sited at the end of a private driveway, and angled for privacy. Hard to leave it a few days later, but we will be back!
I took my father on 3-night get-away in Idyllwild. We needed a one level home and a hot tub. This home was ideal. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was very cozy. The only complaint I have is the shower in the second bedroom. I could not adjust the water temperature and could not use it.
This was a great place to stay after having proposed to my new fiancee on top of Tahquitz. It was clean and cozy had a very nice master bedroom and bathroom arrangement. The fireplace and jacuzzi were both wonderful for relaxing after our climb. I would recommend this place to others.
The Dairy Farm was so lovey and well appointed. The uniqueness and charm added so much to our stay.
Property is small but not tiny. It will be OK for a couple and feels very cozy. The private backyard isn't much, but the spa is spectacular, especially at night. The property is in a shared area with another house, so parking might be tricky if the other house has more than a couple vehicles. Just a few minutes walk from the main town area and great for star gazing or just generally relaxing.
We enjoyed our stay in this house, very good for a families with kids.

Our original rental was cancelled suddenly, and we were offered this house--a really, what a gift that was.
The home is spacious and quiet. The kitchen is well stocked (though items like sugar or oil may need to be purchased), and the hot tub is dreamy.
The tv has wifi compatibility and some apps (Netflix for sure)--but the tv is pretty tiny and there is a VCR (no DVD).
The home is very close to city center--it is walkable. We strongly recommend the doughnut shop in town.

This was a great cabin and fit two families (with kids) comfortably. The place was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything and nicely labeled as well. Wish the screen door to the back patio covered the entire door---there is a gap at the top of the screen door, so we didn't want to leave it open and let mosquitos/bugs into the cabin.
The kids liked the disney movies on hand. Big comfortable couch. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a creek as it was summer time. Nice short walk to town. Would stay here again.
Absolutely in love with our experience in our cabin. The town is small and friendly. It was perfect for us to celebrate our 22nd Anniversary/ husbands birthday. Waking up to the sound of the creek and singing birds... priceless.
Everything was perfect: From the comfortable and well-equipped house, to the spectacular view, to the awesome hot tub. The people from New Spirit Vacation Homes were cordial, available and very accommodating on check-in and check-out times.
This property was clean and beautifully maintained. They had all the amenities you need to stay as your home away from home. The hot tub was a great way to relax and hang out after hiking too. The only thing we would say is that the mattresses need to be updated in all bedrooms. They were either to firm or soft.

We had a very nice time. The cabin was well stocked and very clean. We would love to stay there again.
It was simply fantastic! I work 11 hours a day, 5 days a week and occasional Saturdays and Sundays. Needless to say it was a much needed rest for me. To be one with Mother Nature was fantastic. The accommodations provided everything we needed. We will certainly book again direct (New Spirit) this time to save added charges.
Well awaited stay. This lovely cabin was clean, well-stocked, plenty of room for our girl's weekend. "Just what the Dr ordered". The staff at New Spirit were very friendly and helpful.
Stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. The moment you walk in you are blown away by the view. It gets even better when you walk up to the master bedroom. Definitely coming back. The house is a little old, but everything works great.
We had an amazing time staying at Grande Vista in Idyllwild! The views were absolutely stunning and should sell you on the place on its own, but the house was incredibly cozy and heightened the experience even more. One of our nights, the winds knocked out the Idyllwild power supply (which can happen in the mountains), but New Spirit Vacation Homes was so helpful in bringing us flashlights and supplies! Honestly, that night with no power, looking at the amazing stars is one of my favorite memories from the trip! Thanks so much for making our stay so relaxing, safe, and wonderful!
Great, quiet location. Perfect for your dogs with huge fenced area. House was well designed.
This was our second stay at Peaceful Pines fka Cricket and like the first time it did not disappoint. They have everything you need, especially for you dog owners. The backyard is absolutely amazing. We still had lots of snow on the ground and the dogs loved it. This property has true pride of ownership and you can tell the owners use it themselves.
This is a really nice place for adults and kids alike. 2 game rooms and a jacuzzi! The view of Lilly Rock (Tahquitz) is breathtaking!
Tucked away in a hillside, this is a fine, stylish property that is perfect for a couple or, even better, for a family with its games room. But the clincher is the deck out back...and the mountain views. Beautiful home, cracking location, and the perfect retreat to get away from it all.
The place was perfect for our needs. Comfortable, clean, and beautifully appointed.
We spent 3 nights at Big Rock Creek Lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. The amenities are fantastic, the deck has a wonderful view with the calming sounds from Strawberry Creek, and everyone had a great time. My kids (7 and 5) really enjoyed the bunk beds and playing the different games. Would highly recommend, but there are several things to mention.
1. This is a nice home, meaning the wooden floors, countertops, and decor need care and attention. Not recommended for those with untidy children, as it will stain or damage the property, which means $$ from you.
2. The creek is not hikeable. There is private property all around.
3. The check in/out is a slight inconvenience, but an inconvenience regardless. You have to pick up and drop off the keys at the main office. Out of 20+ short term rentals I've stayed in, never have I had to drive to an office, find a lockbox out of 30 on a wall, and get the keys.
4. The really long emails and archaic contract PDFs just add to the inconvenience. I understand the need to convey important information, but please format it properly rather than sending 1000 words (yes, I counted). Also, contracts should be via an e-sign provider, not PDFs to fill out, scan and email back. And at the very least include check in/out and pricing details in the PDF before sending it out rather than having the customer fill it out.
5. The property managers are very responsive and easy to communicate with. It was nice knowing that I could send a text and get a response back within minutes typically.
The lodge is terrific. It's clean, well-stock, centrally located to both town and trails. It's both beautiful and pleasant to stay in and convenient.
Stunning views, clean, large enough kitchen for us all to cook together. Very spacious, warm, inviting. Just a few of tge things about The Pinnacle that make it the best place to stay in idyllwild for a large family. Our 2nd year and we will be stating next year. Love. Love, love this home!!!oh and close enough to walk to town...a plus for us!
