I was a first hesitant to reserve the home after reading the previous review. However after speaking with the staff at New Spirit they were very reassuring and answered any all of my questions. They immediately let me know that the cold tub in the listing was being refinished (which makes sense as it is winter time and I am not sure who would want to get in 45 degree water). Once we arrived to the home the house was not up to my cleaning standards (I am very picky I guess you can say Im a bit OCD. So do not take this as the home was dirty as it was cleaner than most vacation homes I have stayed in), but I did express my concern to New Spirit and within minutes they sent over members of their housekeeping staff.
Monica & New Spirit Staff were very helpful and could tell you anything and everything about the home in detail, they also gave us some literature to read during out stay (brochure for their company, map of Idyllwild, and a directory for Idyllwild- this did help very much)
I would definitely recommend this property to family and friend. Me and my husband have already planned our next visit to "The Dome"

Had a really enjoyable weekend celebrating some friends. Love the deck, weather was perfect.
The view from The View House really is as magical as the pictures show. There is more deck furniture now. It is lovely. The kitchen is much nicer than the pictures show as well. It's a lovely home. Monica and Niki from New Spirit were so friendly and helpful, it added to the entire experience. The house was very clean and welcoming. It was also super close to town yet when you were in it it felt very secluded.
Our family of four adults and three children, ages six and ten, had a relaxing four day getaway in Idyllwild at the Lily Rock Lodge. The furnishings were exactly as depicted in the VRBO app as was the awesome views. We enjoyed the pool table, other games, and the hot tub.
Our stay here was excellent. The check in was an extremely quick process that lasted no longer than 1 minute. The proximity of the office to the lodge was about 5 minutes and we were provided with directions as well.
The cabin was perfectly kept up and came well stocked with pillows, blankets and kitchen supplies. The block itself is very quiet throughout the day. Excellent views of the woods through the large windows and a large wrap around deck with a hot tub was amazing(though we didnt use it).
Looking forward to booking this location again on our next visit.
This beautiful, serene cabin was the perfect escape from the workday world for me and my wife. This home is truly special, from the jaw-dropping views from the deck and master bedroom to the thoughtful, nature-based architecture that runs through ever facet of the place. Metal, wood, stone and sky are woven together in perfect balance inside this unique gem, and the owners have added even more artistry and elegance throughout with sculptures and art pieces. The home was so comfortable and inviting we did not want to leave. The master bedroom has soaring vaulted windows with astonishing views of the nearby mountain peaks and a sky full of stars at night. It has ever amenity you could want and quality appliances and furnishings. We ate out on the vast deck overlooking the creek and took in the autumn landscape and loved every minute of our stay.
Monica and her team at New Spirit Vacation Homes always go out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel like family, and that means so much when you are stressed out and just looking for some peace. They make the whole process so easy.
I was in town for a wedding and everyone at this company made my stay easy and enjoyable. The location was gorgeous and just what I was looking for. I've already referred friends to this company and will use them again.
We loved the Cozy Cottage. We found it clean & comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied & easy to maneuver. But what was the icing on the cake was the large easily accessible deck. Since we were there for summer we "lived" on that deck morning to evening. Beautiful views from all directions gave it the feeling of being away deep in the forest, yet were in walking distance to town & just off Hy.243.

Place was very clean and perfect location. I've been around the place several times over the years since my mom lives across the street. We rented because we had extra family and it worked out great. I wish it was better weather, but that's how it goes. Idyllwild is a great little community. If the need arises get rent again, we certainly will.
My family had a great time at this lovely cottage. We enjoyed feeding the blue jays, walking to town and perusing around the area checking out the views. Would definitely stay at this cabin again.
My family had a pleasant stay during our short gateway to Idyllwild. Kitchen was fully stocked, hot tub was working great, plenty of towels and overall a very a nice place. Convenient to Idyllwild hiking trails and easy to check in and out. Yard sitting area looks to be in a need of a maintenance. We didn’t use it so it did not affect our stay. Plus there is a dinning table on the patio.

We were in town to visit family in nearby Indian Wells.Condo was very clean and well laid out and furnished. As it was end of April things were quiet in the transition from winter to summer heat. Pool was just across the very lightly traveled road and well maintained as was the whole property and the rental itself. We'd be happy to stay here again.
This home was in a great location, beautiful home very nicely decorated with all necessary amenities! We love golf and were able to get out to play, enjoyed the pool and the patio in the evenings. Will definitely be returning, thank you Spirit Vacations and to the owners!
The house is spacious and gorgeous. It was secluded and quiet but a very short walk to town. It has a large fenced in yard for dogs as well. Our family enjoyed our trip greatly in this cozy home.
The house was clean and the house was well stocked in the kitchen which is always important to us. We loved that the front yard was fenced in for our dog to go out. Flat areas allowed us to play catch with tennis balls. Right on the stream with a nice walking path. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beds were the only thing that I would improve. Not comfortable and very noisy with every move.
Our family consisting of 6 adults, 1 2-month-old child and 3 dogs had a great weekend in Idyllwild this last weekend. We stayed at the 3 Gazing Stars home and it was perfect. Great views and close to town. Couldn't ask anything better.
Close to down town and shops, we were so relaxed after lock our self up from COVID-19. This was a treat for us and my dogs.
We really liked the house, It was very clean and comfortable. If you are staying there and using the heat .. the downstairs gets really hot and the upstairs is chilly.. Close the downstairs vents for solution. The property management company is wonderful and caring. We needed a dvd cable and they came out on a Friday night and are very cheerful and professional. Location gets a 3 as it is a steep road and driveway and if you do not have a 4 wheel drive ice on the road can bea bit of a challenge. Overall a good experience, nicely laid out lots of room
Absolutely loved our stay at the Lilac house. The second I pulled up, I felt a sense of peace and tranquillity. The house amenities were fantastic and the area is very quite and just a short drive into town! I will absolutely be staying here again!
My wife and have stayed with New Spirit several times and this last time didn't disappoint. Lilac has plenty of room inside for two, a charming and comfortable living and dining area, all with wooded and scenic views. The fireplace is a must!
We had a great stay! The house is well kept and clean and spacious. There was a foot of snow on the ground when we arrived and it made for a perfect vacation.
My family and I had such a great stay at Dairy Manor. You can feel the love and inspiration of this home in every single room, there is so much charm and character everywhere you look. The home’s age gave it so much of its beautiful character, yet you still have all the modern essentials needed for your stay. I never thought my sons (ages 5 & 8) would enjoy a home as much as they did at the Dairy Manor. Our stay here in Idyllwild was exactly what we needed as a family, shutting out the world of 2021, connecting with each other, and with Mother Nature. I honestly couldn’t be happier then I was with The Dairy Manor!
The place was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our time, easy walk to town and all the restaurants and activities we wanted to do. Very relaxing and private. Never got internet, which according to the property manager is common in Idyllwild. So, I wouldn't come here if you needed to get work done. But for a relaxing, no tech trip, it was wonderful!
This dairy barn cottage is so cute. It's surrounded on three sides with fencing. I'd recommend if you have a dog, and it doesn't trustworthy in terms of staying within the yard...there are some places he/she might slip out(husky!!)
I think one needs to check if they've put more secure fencing on the one side.
I really,really liked the cottage! There is no oven, just a two-burner stovetop. This was not a problem. Perfect for two people!
We enjoyed our stay in this house, very good for a families with kids.
Our time at Golden Sunshine was magical. I t is a peaceful place perched on top of the mountainside. We sat on the wonderful wrap around deck and watched the sunset. We were there for a brief time but felt as if we got a lovely respite which renew and reentered us. Thank you for all that the New spirit star did to make our stay so great.
Nice place for peace & quiet. Comfortable beds, a lot of areas for family. Close to town. Nice hot tub. I'd book again.

This house has a great view and was very comfortable for our family. It had everything we needed. It stayed warm with all the snow.
I lead a weekend Yoga retreat at the Pinnacle location. The home is so beautiful. Spectacular views and walking distance from the main village. New Spirit was accessible 24/7 and made sure our stay was comfortable and that we felt cared for. I will DEFINITELY work with this company again and have already recommended them to other facilitators.

We had a very nice time. The cabin was well stocked and very clean. We would love to stay there again.
We loved our stay at Bear’s Den in Idyllwild for two nights for a quick getaway! We are a family of fine including three grown boys. We hiked the Ernie Maxwell trail one day for an easier hike and then we hiked Devil’s Slide the next day, which was a little longer and more strenuous. We loved relaxing on the deck among the beautiful trees before getting ready for dinner both nights. Then after dinner we loved the jacuzzi!!! We didn’t need the kitchen too much, but it was nice and clean. We had more than enough space for the five of us and we would definitely stay there again! We didn’t walk anywhere from the house. Everything was a which drive away.
Well awaited stay. This lovely cabin was clean, well-stocked, plenty of room for our girl's weekend. "Just what the Dr ordered". The staff at New Spirit were very friendly and helpful.
We had an amazing time staying at Grande Vista in Idyllwild! The views were absolutely stunning and should sell you on the place on its own, but the house was incredibly cozy and heightened the experience even more. One of our nights, the winds knocked out the Idyllwild power supply (which can happen in the mountains), but New Spirit Vacation Homes was so helpful in bringing us flashlights and supplies! Honestly, that night with no power, looking at the amazing stars is one of my favorite memories from the trip! Thanks so much for making our stay so relaxing, safe, and wonderful!

We rent in Idyllwild often and this is one of the nicer places we've stayed. They pay attention to small details and aren't afraid to make higher quality items available for their guests. And the property itself is very inviting and great use of space. We will definitely be back!
The cabin was perfect for family of nine (5 teens, 4 adults). The best feature was the beautiful view on the ample deck. After long day, it was nice to be able to relax in the Jacuzzi, play pool, and enjoy a hot meal that we cooked in the well-stocked kitchen. We would return here in a heartbeat. Bring sleep eye masks so the sun doesn't wake you in the morning. There are no windows coverings in the bedrooms.
We enjoyed every minute of our time there. Would recommend this home to all of my family and friends.
We were looking for the color changes in the trees and we were pleasantly pleased. Walking distance from the coffee shop : ), nestled among the trees, clean and warm. Suggestion: need reading lamps in the living room.

We spent 3 nights at Big Rock Creek Lodge and enjoyed every minute of it. The amenities are fantastic, the deck has a wonderful view with the calming sounds from Strawberry Creek, and everyone had a great time. My kids (7 and 5) really enjoyed the bunk beds and playing the different games. Would highly recommend, but there are several things to mention.
1. This is a nice home, meaning the wooden floors, countertops, and decor need care and attention. Not recommended for those with untidy children, as it will stain or damage the property, which means $$ from you.
2. The creek is not hikeable. There is private property all around.
3. The check in/out is a slight inconvenience, but an inconvenience regardless. You have to pick up and drop off the keys at the main office. Out of 20+ short term rentals I've stayed in, never have I had to drive to an office, find a lockbox out of 30 on a wall, and get the keys.
4. The really long emails and archaic contract PDFs just add to the inconvenience. I understand the need to convey important information, but please format it properly rather than sending 1000 words (yes, I counted). Also, contracts should be via an e-sign provider, not PDFs to fill out, scan and email back. And at the very least include check in/out and pricing details in the PDF before sending it out rather than having the customer fill it out.
5. The property managers are very responsive and easy to communicate with. It was nice knowing that I could send a text and get a response back within minutes typically.
This vacation rental is a great property, located in wilderness. Cozy, clean and well equipped. We had no issues getting the property keys, getting in the rental and acclimated. However, there are a couple of negatives in our opinion. The property didn't offer any coffee or sugar or any basic condiments so please plan to buy every little thing that you may think might be needed. 10 am check out seems super early however they gave us a complimentary 1 hr late check out which was very nice. Overall, no concerns and would recommend this property to anyone.
Peaceful pines is a great getaway for us. We’ve been there several times and it’s a terrific cabin, location, and stay for our dogs to run around being a fully fenced yard. We always enjoy our time there..
