The Dome (Idy Dome)
Unlike many homes in Idyllwild that are nestled deep in the forest, the Dramatic Geodesic Dome sits on the edge of Crestview Drive, offering sweeping views of the valley and even the ocean on the clearest days. Newly remodeled and now featuring AC and heat, the Dome is set on over 1.5 acres and includes three cozy fireplaces, a 26-foot vaulted ceiling in the living room, and a hot tub ideal for enjoying sunset views.
The property backs up to a stunning 40-foot rock formation, with Native American acorn grinding bowls carved into the top—right where the views are best. Watch deer climb the hillside, dine indoors or out, and stargaze under crystal-clear mountain skies. Game Room & Sauna: The game room also serves as a 5th bedroom.

Wild in the summer is great too!
"This is the first time visiting Idy in the summer and I was pleasantly surprised. Less people and beautiful weather. As for The Dome! Execellent, a uniquely large and spacious propery. Great for larger groups. Although, its standard max occupancy is 10 for the main house. The separate unit/game room can accomodate an additional 7. As mentioned the property is very spacious and the views... PHENOMENAL! It also has a large sauna. The main floor master has private bathroom with Toto bidet seat and king bed which we called the "Red Room". I would consider it the primary master while the room located on the second floor would be the secondary master king without private bath but still nice. The mini split along with the swamp cooler on the main floor is great. Never really felt to warm. However, my guests in the separate unit/game room did mention it was a little warm. So a mini-split for that area would be a nice enhancement. Hot tub was also nice but a little undersized for the scale of the property. Overall, regardless its a great property and would definitely consider staying here again if feasible. Lastly not sure if this is now a standard part of their service at New Spirit but they were very attentive and prompt. They allow you to document (text) in realtime any discrepancies that may require maintenance. Note, they have two locations for parking; main driveway(steep) which I can only assume can be a challenge during the winter. However at the top it does have a parking area that can accomodate 2-3 vehicles and is good for loading and unloading. The cul-da-sac(CDS) where you can either park in the CDS or the parking slab located behind the gate which provides more direct access to the separate unit/game room. My family and friends had a very pleasant stay to end our 2026' summer getaways!"

"This location is phenomenal if you want beautiful views and nice amenities like a hot tub and sauna. The furnishings (decorative pillows and carpet) could definitely use a refresh. The shag rugs felt dirty and outdated. "

"Wonderful stay. Multiple outside locations to gather, from the high platform with the hut tub that held three large men, to the stagnant pond at the end of the walk from the driveway. Two inside locations to gather; large main room adjacent to kitchen and below game room that could sleep 8 and has one separate entrance. Greatest high ceiling. You will leave appreciating triangles. "
Amazing holiday home for groups and families
"This property is a great place to go to to get away from it all. Uninterrupted views, overlooking Idyllwild. The house was perfect for our party of 9 adults. Plenty of space, excellent facilities and close enough to walk to town. The sunsets were perfect from the hot tub. "

The Dome is not just a great home, with beautiful panoramic views in a serene, private also offers dining al fresco; hot tub under the brilliant stars; a large hot sauna; two outdoor, deep cold plunge tubs under the stars and plenty of outdoor space to meditate, rest, recover, rejuvenate and explore, while transforming anxious and stressed spirits!
