"This darling cabin is nestled among the pines, right next to a running stream- couldn't have asked for a more tranquil and beautiful setting! We thoroughly enjoyed the setting and the ability to walk into town was a bonus. Cabin had all the amenities one could want....highly recommend this beautiful home! One thing to note- we were in Idyllwild when the temps were unusually high (95 degrees!). There is no AC in this cabin; however, I will say because of its location, the cabin remained cool and the evenings were very comfortable. The cabin had several large fans available, as well."

"My brother and I had a wonderful brother's getaway weekend at this super charming and cozy hidden heaven hideaway. Loved the authentic retro vibes, the babbling creek just outside, woodland visitors on the back deck (had woodpeckers, blue jays, robins and grey squirrels all on the back porch trees at one time). Lots of snow prevented us from driving to town, so we walked. It wasn't far and was quite nice to do so. Everything was comfortable and clean, and the rental company was helpful, friendly and accommodating -- and the rental price was very reasonable, especially in comparison to the big rental sites and other more popular nearby mountain towns. It was our first time to Idyllwild, despite living in LA for most of our lives, and we loved it. Not an 'active' town like Big Bear or Arrowhead. More sleepy, hippie and artistic, which is/was our speed generally anyway. If this cabin allowed dogs, we'd be back with the whole family on a regular basis. But since it doesn't, and we understand that - this is a pristine 1930's cabin - we'll just have to keep it as our brothers-only getaway."

"Staying in the cabin was amazing. I wanted peace and quiet away from the city and I achieved it. The property is clean, roomy and has everything that you need for your stay. It is tucked away from the main road so it gives an effect of being secluded in the woods. It is also conveniently close to town in case you need to go to the market or dine out. I definitely recommend this property to everyone and hope to come back to it myself another time."

"Old cabin nestled right next to a creek. We spent most of our time looking at the creek from the deck. The kitchen was well stocked with all your cooking essentials but was dimly lit so it was difficult to see when cooking. The furnishings were dated with a rustic feel which gives the cabin its charm. My only complaint was the uncomfortable sofa & toilets that were very slow to flush. The cabin was a 10 min walk to town so it’s location is perfect.

Management was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back again. "

"We stayed for a long weekend and really enjoyed our time at HH. The cabin is spacious and spotless. The front yard is a forest! And Strawberry Creek is right outside the back deck. Ideal! We were able to cross the creek and walk into town, which was so nice. Plus, it's quiet and dark at night and if you have a fire going, very cozy!

The beds are comfortable. There is plenty of hot water. No dishwasher in the kitchen, but that's just an excuse to get takeout from the awesome restaurants in town. The lighting is all lamp-based, and get get dim, and the main room can get cold because of the expansive we just got a fire going and really loved our time there. "

"The back yard is right on the creek, it is beautiful, and it is probably the only place on the creek where you dont look at another place across the creek. It was PERFECT! SOOOOOOO peaceful, just a few squirels and you can open your window and hear the creek burble all night. When I go back, I WILL rent this place again."

"Our stay at Hidden Heaven greatly exceeded our expectations! The home was clean, not cluttered, felt homey, quiet! Furniture was older but felt clean, and the beds were comfortable for us! Adored the deck and view over the creek! We enjoyed dinners outside every evening! My three little kids loved exploring the outside perimeter of the cabin! The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and well labeled, which I really appreciated! Very close to the village (like a 2 minute drive). We can't wait to return! "

"This was a great cabin and fit two families (with kids) comfortably. The place was very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything and nicely labeled as well. Wish the screen door to the back patio covered the entire door---there is a gap at the top of the screen door, so we didn't want to leave it open and let mosquitos/bugs into the cabin.
The kids liked the disney movies on hand. Big comfortable couch. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a creek as it was summer time. Nice short walk to town. Would stay here again."

"This is a peaceful cabin, set well back from the street, with space for a full family with a large table in the dining area and lots of seating around the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is well supplied, all appliances work well. We enjoyed the gas grill and especially enjoyed waking up to the sounds of birds and little animals. The creek was pretty low, but expect it would be lovely to hear when it is full."

"The house was very comfortable but the rear deck was outstanding with strawberry creek running strong and sounding soothing. Our only complaint was the TV cable. We wanted to watch Jeopardy but an error message popped up every minute or so and shut the program down. We contacted the rental office but it never was resolved. Other wise we had a great stay and would stay again. "

"Hidden Heaven is truly a gem in Idyllwild. Strawberry Creek runs right below the patio balcony and lulls you to sleep at night. The home is well appointed and has space for a small family or two couples. The driveway is a bit steep and may be difficult in the winter if ice or snow, but not a problem in the summertime. Thank you New Spirit for accommodating me on a short notice getaway from the city. "

"Hello! We would just like to say that we had the most wonderful time at this cabin! It is beautifully decorated and so cozy. We sepnt a lot of time in here just relaxing and watching movies together. We even explored the creek a little bit (even thought it was freezing brrrr!) This place has somuch charm and is so perfect! We couldn't be happier in any other place :) We have visted (and lived) in Idyllwild many times and this by far was the best place. "We returned to Idyllwild after having a fun time here is 2019. What a lovely reunion wit this town. The cabin was just right especially having the bubbling brook to enjoy in the mornings and the comfortable beds. We were happy to see Mayor Max again and to enjoy a declicous dinner at Gastrognome. A hike and then a drive over the mountain to Palm Springs led to fabolous star gazing. Thank you"

"This is our second stay at Hidden Heaven and it did not disappoint! We love the cabin we love the location. We love to cross the bridge and walk up to town. We love the pictures in the cabin and the furniture. We love the deck, the bird feeding stations, we just love everything about it! We will be back again!"

"Beautiful vintage cabin. Spacious living room with a large stone fireplace. Loved the floor to ceiling window in the living room. Great views from kitchen and main bedroom. Patio in the back has lots of space and sits right above the creek. If you open the kitchen door you can hear the water flowing by. There is a little trail you can walk along with a cute wooden bridge to cross. You will see people walking by down below but wasnt intrusive. You can walk along the trail and end up at the back of the BrewPub. Felt private but is very close to town. Not too close to the neighbors. You can see a bit of the public playground across the way but again, it wasnt intrusive. Lots of kitchen wares (no toaster at the location) towels, blankets, games. Heating works great. Parking is easy and right in front of house. Easy access, 6 stairs up to front door. Was very clean and well stocked. The 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are on opposite sides of the house. Would 100% stay here again!"
