"We have rented many places for short getaways, and none felt more like "coming home" than Peaceful Pines! The yard was huge and amazing! The house was more stocked than any place we've been. It's better than the photos. We only had two couples...if you had 3 couples in the summer, the ones upstairs might be pretty toasty, but they would have a delightful room! Great beds, towels, and the kitchen was great! Our pooch loved running in the yard too! We enjoyed the Jacuzzi one night too! Highly recommend this place!!"

"Two small families and two dogs were the perfect size for this home. We all loved the big beautiful backyard and the hot tub was super clean. The house had a homey feel it was very updated and clean and decorated in great taste. It’s super close to town and the nature center so we enjoyed our daily excursions"

"The Cricket property is amazing. If you are traveling with dogs this is the place for you. The fenced in backyard is HUGE with lots of room for dogs to run and play. There are lots of dog amenities provided (beds, bowls, toys, etc.) In addition to that the cabin is very well appointed. You can tell the owners use it themselves because everything you would need is available. From the kitchen to the bathrooms they provide it all. And there's a new jacuzzi! We highly recommend Cricket and will be back soon!"

"We were impressed by this home the moment we drove up and the good impressions kept coming as we entered. It’s a beautiful place fully equipped with all the items you need to enjoy your stay. The unit was spotless and so well decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything down to spices and olive oil. The jacuzzi was great and private, we used it everyday. The lot is large and we enjoyed watching the rabbits, squirrels and many birds. The bbq worked well too. We did lots of walking the neighborhood and also into town most days. It was a lovely stay. "

"This was such a beautiful cabin. We absolutely loved it. The kitchen was very well supplied with everything I needed to cook, and the backyard was beautiful. The house was very, very clean but it was super evident they have a dog. Totally fine by us as we are not allergic. Lots of dog hair. Otherwise this was hands down the best house we have ever rented in Idyllwild, and we visit about 4-5 times a year. "

"When you go to IDY you want to relax and enjoy the town... and that is exactly what you get staying at the Cricket Mountain Home. This house is on a flat lot close to town center. Very clean inside and out. Not a lot of clutter and everything is staged nicely. Enough room for 6 comfortably to move around the house. The stairs are unique and love the openness in the kitchen for all to gather over a cup of coffee while taking in the morning view of the backyard.
Very quiet since you are not on a main road to enjoy the backyard to its fullest. many areas to sit, unwind, and just look at the beautiful landscapes while your doggie runs around the yard. The owner provides nuts & bird seed which is a very nice touch.
We enjoyed the jacuzzi both nights with wine and time to ourselves.
Very dog friendly to include several dog beds, toys and doggie bags. No need to pack all of your dogs items for the trip, its already there! We were able to hike with our dog on the Ernie Maxwell Trail, so don't leave your puppy at home, IDY is a dog friendly place.
The management team was very helpful, and the home was spotless. I plan on renting there again because it was perfect!"
