Spacious Mountain Retreat
"Large, modernized, well equipped home. "
Thanksgiving in Idyllwild
"We spent the Thanksgiving weekend in Idyllwild with family, and had a lovely few days in the mountains. The house was spacious, comfortable, well-located, and beautifully sited. This was our first trip to the area, and we hope we will be back!"
Family Holiday Getaway
"The home was very well equipped and cozy for our family of 5 with 2 dogs. Wish it snowed more but can't control the weather.... Totally enjoyed our stay of relaxing, puzzling and family time."
Beautiful 4 nights in Idyllwild
"The house is located in a beautifully wooded neighborhood. The home itself is well appointed with a fully functional kitchen, and an adjoining living room with 2 comfy leather couches and a large screen Samsung television. The reception for internet and television is excellent. The television is controlled by the Apple clicker which took some getting used to. There is a bedroom and bathroom downstairs which we did not use. My wife and I stayed in the upstairs master bedroom with a king bed and an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is another small bedroom attached with a twin bed. The bed was firm but comfy enough to get 8 full hours of undisturbed sleep. There is a certain amount of reasonable dog barking during daylight hours. We brought our dog so a little barking is understandable. There are fenced and unfenced yards to this property and the lot next door, seen off the wrap-around deck is filled with beautiful trees including Sequoia trees.
We had coffee on the deck in the morning and wine in the evening. We tossed peanuts to the bluejays who put on a show as the woodpecker swooped through and the squirrels jumped from one tree to another.
The small town of Idyllwild is a short 3-mile drive away. It's a nice town with many restaurants, shops, wineries for tasting, a movie theater, and grocery stores.
The area offers many trails and lookouts. We are not trailblazers but we did manage several hikes and took the dog too.
A great time was had and it felt good to come back to the house after our outings. We did not miss having a spa because we enjoyed the beauty of the area and took long walk around the neighborhood. Everyone we saw waved and we waved back.
What more do I need to say?

Response from New Spirit Vacation Homes:
Hello Barbara, Thank you for your kind review on our Everrett Retreat. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the home. Idyllwild is a dog friendly town (even the mayor is a dog) so there is the chance that other individuals have their fur babies outside and they will bark. However, we have not had any complaints about dogs barking before. We hope to have the privilege in hosting you again for a future stay. Warm Regards, Michaella New Spirit Vacation Homes
A wonderful stay in a beautiful location
"The house was exactly as advertised. It's a lovely home in a quiet neighborhood near a handful of hiking trails. We were looking for a chance to go someplace peaceful to recharge and relax and this fit the bill perfectly. "
